The MMTA's main committee has approved an application for membership from Kennecott Molybdenum Company (Rio Tinto). Kennecott is involved in the mining, processing, sales and distribution of molybdenum and rhenium. Kennecott Molybdenum Company is part of Rio Tinto.

New member approved: Beijing JiYa Semiconductor Material Co., Ltd.
At a recent meeting of the MMTA's main committee an application for membership was approved from Beijing JiYa Semiconductor Material Co., Ltd. Beijing JiYa is a leading gallium producer with capacity of over 20mt per year. Gallium is a critical minor metal that plays an important role in many modern industries including for semiconductors, LEDs, solar cells and magnets.
New warehouse approved: C. Steinweg Logistics (Shanghai) Co. Ltd.
The MMTA's warehousing committee has announced the approval of C. Steinweg Logistics (Shanghai) Co. Ltd., following an independent inspection by Cunningham Lindsey Marine. Simultaneously, the parent company, C. Steinweg Warehousing (F.E.) Pte Ltd in Singapore, has been approved by the main MMTA committee for membership.
