IMPORT TRAINING COURSE: Operational Issues and Procedures for International Traders & Importers
Broadway House, Tothill Street, London SW1H 9NQ
8th and 9th of March 2012

Following the success of training course in 2011 MMTA members have again been offered places at the International Steel Trade Association (ISTA) logistics training course on metal importing, operational issues and procedures. Many of the principals are the same for the logistics of steel, minor metals and ferro-alloys. This course will provide both traders and shipping staff with an exclusive opportunity to obtain guidance on the fundamentals of importing, enabling them to review and refine their current practices in line with the newly published INCOTERMS 2010.

This two-day training course in London will include sessions on:
•    Methods of payment
•    Customs formalities
•    Modes of transport
•    Cargo insurance
•    Documentation

A copy of the new INCOTERMS 2010 will be supplied to delegates.  The full provisional programme is attached.  A light lunch and refreshments on both days are included. The course is presented by Jon Walden MBE FIEx FIFP.
