The Port of Antwerp is one of the major minor metals terminals of Europe and home to several MMTA-registered warehouses. The port authority has invited MMTA members to tour the port and view the facilities.

To be held on 16th-18th June 2008 at the Royal London Yacht Club in Cowes, Isle of Wight (www.rlyc.org.uk).

Our yachts will be Beneteau 40.7s, one of the faster charter yachts available with a capacity for 10 guests plus skipper. In a change from recent years our hosts will be the Royal London Yacht Club in Cowes on the Isle of Wight.

Teams will battle for the Howard's Way trophy, named after former MMTA chairman Howard Masters of Lambert Metals and not the 1980s television show involving boats, sex and corporate intrigue.

In 2006 the regatta was won by SFP Metals skippered by Erica "Boadicea" Briley, followed closely by Lipmann Walton's boat and Alex Stewart International's boats.

The MMTA's 35th Anniversary Dinner will be held on 14th October 2008.
