The MMTA's Lobby committee was formed to devise a political response to topical issues within the regulatory environment that the international metal trade is surrounded by.
The largest current issue is REACH (the EU Chemical Directive) and the Lobby Committee, which meets regularly, is co-ordinating the MMTA’s response. If you have views or input with regard to REACH and/or how its effects on the metal trade could be mitigated, please do not hesitate to contact the MMTA.
Notices about REACH are flagged on the Noticeboard under a specially created section, along with a sub-section of FAQs (frequently asked questions) for the REACH-uninitiated.
