Sub-committees undertake a significant proportion of the MMTA's work as the range of committees above shows. Members of these committees have specific expertise in a particular field and are able to work on behalf of all members to provide practical help and guidance in a variety of areas.
Importantly, the full committee is able to provide the means by which all members can consider the work of the sub-committees, create and move projects forward, whilst networking and forming lasting friendships.
The MMTA believes in small effective sub-committees (comprising 3 or 4 persons maximum), drawn from leading member companies. These are appointed by the general standing committee. In this section you will find out more about their work.
In any international trade organisation unexpected events sometimes require specialist attention and minor metals are no different. With this in mind Gladys Smith, Anthony Lipmann and Sarah Frigot are members of the main MMTA committee without running sub-committees and can quickly be assigned to a project when required.
