Metal & Assaying Norms
The publication of norms in the fields of a) chemical specification of minor metals and b) sampling and assaying norms thereof, are provided by the MMTA in order to give general trade guidance. In this way the MMTA attempts to set acceptable standards in these two critical fields thus assisting the smooth running of the minor metal trade. As ever in any minor metals contract, any specific agreement between two trading parties may overrule an mmta standard if agreed by both principals in advance. If you have suggestions for the inclusion of a new norm or the renewal & updating of an old one, please do not hesitate to submit your views in this regard.
