About MMTA
The world in which we live depends on minor metals - metals such as tungsten, cobalt, tantalum and molybdenum to name but a few. Applications for these metals are often perfectly commonplace, such as the filaments in light-bulbs, pigments in ceramics, components in portable telephones or alloying agents in special steels. New applications are always being found as technology changes, creating new supply and demand patterns.
The Minor Metal Trade Association (MMTA) serves to benefit and promote the interests of its international membership, comprising companies actively involved in all aspects of the international trade of these metals in all their various forms. If you have a commercial interest in these metals and would like to know more about the work of the MMTA, or if you simply wish to discover more about this intriguing group of metals, this site will provide answers to many of your questions.
The MMTA works by electing members from individual companies who serve the interests of all members as a whole. Equally, our work would not be complete if it were not for frequent communication between the committees and our members. It is now possible to email the various committees. Please visit the contact us section.
As a non-profit making organisation, membership fees not only allow the MMTA to carry out its important administrative functions, but contribute directly to the investment in our collective future as an industry as witnessed by this site.
